State Police say a 12 year old juvenile was apprehended and charged with retail theft after they recieved a call from Mac's Country Store in Roulette. Apparently the male juvenile was caught on October 3rd at around 1 PM stealing a pack of Swisher Sweets Cigars.
State Police adhere to a policy in which they do not release the names of any juveniles in their press reports.

I think Mac's Country Store is getting a little power hungry. They should have called the juvenile's parents seeing he is only 12 and had them give the punishment instead of pressing charges. I am sure just being caught was bad enough for him and taught him a lesson. He is just a child.

Good for that kid!!! Mac's charges 3 times as much for their products as surrounding stores. Maybe they deserved that one!

Everyone calls these kids in Roulette out of control but no one takes the time to help these kids. They just sit back and judge them. Something has to be done about these out of control adults in Roulette!

I know Mac's charges a lot of money.. but it is a convenience store. What you are paying for is the convenience of buying things in Roulette. Sometimes it's cheaper than driving to Coudersport or Port Allegany.

What if the theft took place at walmart or kmart or some other store. They would indeed call the cops and press charges.. The days of contacting parents and letting them take care of it is long gone! It doesn't matter if mac's do charge more, wouldn't you if you had the only store for the next 7 or 8 miles.. It still is cheaper to go there than to run to Port or Coudy for milk or bread.. Anyway back to the issue.. Stealing is still a crime no matter what your age is..
