Yesterday’s countywide terrorism drill was a success, albeit a bit realistic. Volunteers and EMT trainees actually acted out two scenarios, with a bomb going off at the airport, and a terrorist taking hostages at the courthouse. The mock attacks left a number of pretending victims, which were taken to decontamination units at Bradford Regional, and treated according to the rules of Triage.

The drill was organized by the Northwest central Pennsylvania Counter Terrorism Task Force, and involved the FBI, and numerous local fire departments and police and emergency organizations.
