Police in Otto Township have released the details of the crash that snarled
up traffic as ten thousand people left Duke Center. Police Officer Pat
Warnick says Cory Schimp drove his truck into a parked van belonging to a
Limestone woman. Schimp's truck then traveled into the path of a jeep coming
in the other lane. Smethport's Robert Rittberg was driving the jeep when it
was struck and pushed into another car owned by June Howard. The jeep rolled
over an embankment, and the truck rolled on its side.
No one was seriously injured in the crash.

Police from various municipalities that were no hand all stepped up to
direct traffic through any available routes out of Duke Center, including
re-routing cars on different roads.
