GOliath Trial

A Reynoldsville man has been found guilty in the theft of Goliath, the
record-breaking whitetail buck. Jeff Spence, the owner of White Oak
Whitetails Deer Ranch, was convicted Friday after a weeklong trial and four
hours of jury deliberation. Spence was found guilty of one count of theft
and one count of receiving stolen property. Goliath was taken from the Wild
Bunch Ranch six years ago and found on Spence's property two years ago.
Goliath was returned to Rod and Diane Miller, his rightful owners, before he
died in December.
