Local oil producers say outside companies are taking more of an interest in
the Twin Tiers' supply of gas and oil.
At last night's meeting of the New York State Oil Producer's Association,
president Paul Plants said most of the interest has been in Bradford, but
New York's southern tier has also seen increased activity.
John Miller of Belden and Blake, which has many oil fields around Bradford,
says his company in continuing to expand its number of oil wells.
