
One hundred and fifteen bruins were brought in yesterday o the checkpoint at
Mt. Jewett.
The largest was a Shinglehouse bear, weighing in at 477 pounds dressed. A
406 pounder was pulled in from Lewis Run.
Game commission manager John Dzeyman says usually, the Mt. Jewett Check
station only sees 60-70 bear on the first day.
