It was legal wrangling, as a mob of people swarmed the County Commissioners
Meeting Saturday at 9, and then the Solid Waste Authority meeting at 10.
Commissioners were upset that the SWA planned to disburse checks from the
landfill sale to 20 municipalities, so they met before the authority, and
dissolved the board, in an attempt to seize the funds.
The SWA met anyway, and wrote checks on the street, in defiance of the
commissioners' order.
A hearing is set for today before Judge John Cleland to determine whether or
not the SWA's disbursements were legal.
