Shinglehouse is planning a big party this summer to celebrate the borough's
bicentennial.
The events will be held June 29 and 30 and July 1. A parade is scheduled for
July 1, and area businesses and organizations are asked to build floats for
it.
Bicentennial buttons are being made, and a Keystone Cop will be in town to
make sure everyone is wearing a button. A bicentennial book is being
prepared as well.
