Mother of Murdered Child Held in Colorado Jail

The mother of the Potter County toddler who was killed earlier this year is
still being held in a Colorado Jail. 23-year-old Arlene Haines is awaiting
extradition. She was scheduled to appear in Potter County Court on the 21,
but her hearing was pushed back to October 26. Haines is charged with child
endangerment. Authorities say she knowingly stayed with her live-in
boyfriend, Clinton Watson, after she knew he had spanked or hit her
children. Watson is currently awaiting trial on murder charges, after Serena
Powell died in January, with severe internal injuries.
