Austin Fire Department fought two fires Saturday. Firefighters from Roulette, Port Allegany Emporium, Genesee, Coudersport, and Portville New York assisted the Austin crew at the scene of a wildfire on Mina Hill. 15 acres of private property were engulfed in Wildfire. Just hours later, a home was reported ablaze. Firefighters from several companies responded, but the house could not be saved. One family was left homeless.
