Warren Mom Tells Police She Burned Her Kids

A Sunday Night Fire in Warren County that claimed the life of two young girls has been ruled as arson, and the girls’ mother has been charged with lighting the fire.

Warren City Police say 2 year old Emma Wightman and 8 year old Hannah Niver died in the blaze.

29-year-old mother Amy Niver has been charged with arson and two counts of criminal homicide. The associated press reports the fire began after the girls’ father attempted to take them.

Niver told police she used gasoline to light the blaze. She told Police she would never let him “take her babies.”
