Sources say funding for the WIC program is being cut. The program, which provides nutritional information and food to mothers and children under five, has five offices in McKean County. If the schedule goes as planned, the funding cuts will lead to the closure of two or three of the five WIC clinics. Mothers from Kane, Mt. Jewett, and the rest of the county will need to come to Bradford or Port Allegany to participate in the program.
