Cameron County DA REcovering: Court at Standstill

Cameron County Criminal Court has ground to a halt as District Attorney
Edwin Tompkins recovers from a heart surgery last week. Tompkins had a
pacemaker installed after being diagnosed with late stage Lyme disease.
Court proceedings were postponed indefinitely last week while Tompkins
decides whether or not the county should find a replacement DA. He's served
the county in the post for close to 20 years.
