McKean County Commissioners voted a tax break for Clean and Green Forested
properties. The state value on forested land increased this year to 401.19
per acre. The McKean County Commissioners resolution will keep the vale
under 300 dollars an acre, though that amount is still higher than most
other communities in Pennsylvania.

Commissioners also decided to adopt a resolution that will pursue taxes on
the thirty cell phone towers across the county. The towers are worth about 3
million dollars combined. The move top tax should pull in 20 thousand
dollars a year.
