Lightning Strikes Elk Fair

Six fair-goers at the Elk County fair were treated after being struck by
lighting Saturday. No one was seriously injured in the incident, and the
exact umber of people hit is still not clear. Apparently lightning struck
the fairgrounds, twice, once at the carnival, where one of the carnival
workers was struck, but treated and returned to work later that night.
Apparently several people holding onto poles or tents were shocked when the
lightning traveled through wires along the ground. The storm that blew
through Elk County on Saturday knocked out phones and electric.
