There is still room for local residents to participate in the Penn State
Cooperative Extension Rain Barrel Construction Workshop slated for tonight
August 9, 2005, at 6PM at the 911 Center in Smethport. The workshops
encourage residents to conserve water resources in their home and landscape.
Water conservation is always a good idea and the recent dry weather reminds
us all of the limitations of our water resources. Residents can collect the
rain water from the structures on their property and use that water in their
gardens and landscapes. Residents will have the opportunity to construct
their own rain barrel at the workshop, which they can take home and use.
The workshop will be held at the following site and time:
McKean County
Tuesday - August 9, 2005, 911 Center, Smethport, PA 6:00 PM
