The Cameron Elk and McKean Mental Health Joinder has finally separated.
Saturday was the first day of the formation of the McKean County Department
of Human Services. Administrator Charlotte Chew-Sturm says that 2 thousand
people in McKean County will be affected by the change.
The October 1st deadline has been dreaded by Cameron and Elk Counties, who
relied on McKean County to keep provider costs low.
