The West Valley Clean Up plan is generating some heat as locals express
concerns about the adequacy of the project.

The West Valley Citizens Task Force says they think the West Valley
Demonstration Project cleanup is not enough to remove the radiation left
over from the Nuclear plant that existed on the site until 1972.

Citizens have expressed concern about a radioactive underground plume of
strontium that they think could reach local creeks, and eventually lake
Erie.
