Duke Center Soldier Injured in Iraq

A Duke Center man was injured in Iraq when a suicide bomber blew up a car. 35-year old Staff Sergeant Steven Kerr was struck in the back by the engine block of the car, which hit an Iraqi Police station. Kerr suffered back and leg injuries. Kerr and two other soldiers injured in the incident have either returned to duty or will return soon, according to military officials. A Butler man, 40-year old Sergeant Carl Morgan was killed in the explosion.
