Another Victory for Zippo

It’s a victory for Bradford. Senator Rick Santorum announced Wednesday that fuel filled Zippo Lighters will now be allowed on airplanes. The United States Department of Transportation has issued an emergency exemption allowing travelers to transport liquid-fuel filled metal Zippo lighters in checked baggage if packaged in a rigid plastic box. This Emergency Exemption is effective from today until October 31, 2005. Pennsylvania lawmakers have been fighting with the USTSA to secure the victory.
