My wife's sister is having a baby... right now actually.

We made the trek from Bradford back to Roulette to do the baby shower, and so she could be there while her sister's baby is born.

As I passed the "ABC" on Route 6, and saw all the green leaves in that familiar valley, just waiting for the signal to burst into colors of flame, I could smell the Allegany, and see the corn stalks waving, and hear the SILENCE of my small town.

I love my job, I love my house, but Bradford will never be Roulette.

The sound of neighbors, and tires slapping pavement, and air conditioners and heaters from the hospitals, and industrial sites breating in fresh air, and blowing out oil smoke....

How I miss this place. I took the kids down to "Date's Hole" to skip stones just moments ago. I watched all the old timers sipping their coffee at the country store early this morning...

For most people, they say you "can't go home again."

Well, I plan to.

And if you keep reading this site, and if I can convince the business people in town that it's worth it to advertise with us, hopefully, I'll be back.

Love to all of you, from Roulette, to Emporium, to Austin, to Port Allegany, and Crosby, and Coudersport, and Galeton, and Smethport, and as far as Iraq, and Alaska, and Canada and New Mexico, and every other place where people love to hear the news from the homeland.

Thanks for reading.... keep spreading the word.
