BRMC Gets Funding

Bradford Regional Medical Center will soon receive nearly 100,000 dollars in
federal funding to continue upgrading its information systems.

Congressman John Peterson made the announcement this afternoon.

In late 2003, BRMC started a three-year 3 million dollar information
technology upgrade to improve patient care and increase efficiency.

The new systems will provide new and automated ways for medical center staff
to electronically document patients' vital signs and conditions at various
stages of their stay in the hospital.
