Changes at Zoar Proposed

New York State Senator Cathy Young on Sunday announced an initiative to
increase public safety at the Zoar Valley Multiple Use Area in northern
Cattaraugus County.
She says for the past few years there has been an average of one death a
year at Zoar Valley, as well as many people suffering serious injuries.
Young’s initiative involves forming a task force that will examine the
problems facing the recreational area, and developing strategies to solve
those problems.
