Brian Gustafson is recovering, according to Smethport Borough Police.
The 33 year old owner of Priority Care Ambulance accidentally shot himself
last week, with the bullet lodging in his back, just left of his
shoulderblade.
Police Chief Bryan Yingling says Gustafson was carrying a registered 22
caliber handgun that fell out of his pocket and hit the ground.
Yingling says tests on the gun show it could accidentally discharge even if
dropped from only five inches off the ground.
