PennDot Fights For Seatbelts

PennDOT and the 1,419 schools that are members of the PIAA are joining to
fight against driving under the influence and not wearing seatbelts. A press
release this week says that starting this month, DUI and seatbelt safety
announcements will be made at sporting events. Last year in Pennsylvania
alcohol was involved in 542 fatalities while failure to wear a seatbelt
contributed to 578 deaths on state highways.
