Cameron Couny Elects new Sheriff

Emporium Borough Police Chief Al Neyman edged out James Fragale in a very close Sheriff race. Neyman grabbed 956 votes to Fragale's 844. Neyman had held the position of Borough Police Chief for 17 years, and the office of Sheriff has been vacant since former Sheriff Mike Chemlar took a leave of abscence.
Voters also elected a new Prothonetary. Mary Grace Olay, a long time employee in the Prothonetary office, won by a lrge margin over Brenda Munz. Olay was endorced by exiting Prothonetary Dave Reed.
