Timber revenues are on their way into the county, but paperwork has the
process grinding to a halt. More than 1 and a half million dollars in Title
Three funding from Allegheny National Forest receipts was set to come in to
five county organizations, but the funds are held up on how the Penn State
Extension office plans to use the funds.

The money by law is required to be earmarked for forestry education. The
Extension office has been pondering hiring a 4H staff person with the funds.
