Peterson Trying to Get More Money

US Congressman John Peterson is looking for more federal allocations for
townships, schools, and counties in the ANF. He spoke up Tuesday at the
Allegany Forest Alliance meeting at Kane High School, and says the
legislation providing the funds doesn't appear to have any opposition.

Right now, Pennsylvania ranks 32nd out of 41 states in terms of National
Forest Acreage, but 10th in terms of money allocated for Safety net payments
to municipalities.
