A two-vehicle accident in Kane Thursday afternoon is still under
investigation. A vehicle driven by Gary Sipos of Homer City was traveling
east on Haines Street at 1:05 p.m. when he was hit by Nancy Weiser of Kane,
who failed to stop at a stop sign on Dawson Street. Sipos' vehicle struck a
utility pole before stopping in the yard of a residence owned by John
Bechakas. Both drivers were taken to Kane Community Hospital for treatment
of injuries. Both vehicle were towed from the scene.
