Olean Firefighters Not To Be Reimbursed For Training

Three Olean firefighters who took a $13,000 paramedic course had their
request for reimbursement denied by the Olean Common Council's Public Safety
Committee at Tuesday's meeting. The request was dropped after no committee
member moved to approve it. Committee chairman Glenn Van Dixon told Fire
Chief Robert Bell that the issue might be reconsidered at year's end if any
funds remain in the city's budget.
