Emporium Assault

An Emporium man has been charged with assault for pushing a police officer
twice Monday night. 22-year old Richard Thwing was observed in an argument
with a female just before midnight Monday. Trooper Mall of the
Emporium-based State Police approached the two and was allegedly shoved
twice by Thwing. Thwing was arrested and taken to Elk County prison in lieu
of $5,000 bail.
