Some Gas Station s in Pennsylvania have been given the okay by Governor Ed
Rendell to sell half-gallons.

Some stations utilize older, mechanical pumps without a digital readout. The
pumps cannot be configured for the high priced gasoline, which in all of
Pennsylvania is over three dollars a gallon. The gas stations will advertise
the full gallon price on the street sign, and the half-gallon price on the
pump itself.

No word yet on Governor Rendell's promises to try to cut the state's 31
cents per gallon tax on gasoline, or any gas capping initiatives.
