Pennsylvania state treasurer Robert Casey Jr has announced that all Supplemental Security Income checks will go out on time, despite complications caused by Hurricane Katrina. Casey says information was delayed in transmitting from federal to state agencies. However, pa treasury employees cut in half the time normally needed to process the information and as a result the entire group of almost 273 thousand checks will go out by the October 1st deadline.
