The Jamestown Police officer who was named a person of interest in the case
of missing mother Yolanda Bindics is suing the city and the police
department for defamation of character and violation of civil rights.
Michael Watson was charged with stalking and harassing three women after the
investigation into his relationship with Bindics, who disappeared in August
of 2004. Watson's attorney Paul Webb, Jr. says the lawsuit aims to correct
injustices against Watson based on untrue and misleading statements made by
the city involving the officer.
