Knox and Kane Could Be Bought

The Knox and Kane Railroad could get bought out. Negotiations are underway
for the purchase, though the buyer has not been announced.

The move would put the railway under the control of an authority board.

The state could kick in as much as 70 percent of the money needed to upgrade
the railroad if the sale goes through.
Unofficially, the price has been said to be at $2.5 million.

The Knox and Kane announced last year that it would be going out of business
after tips to the Kinzua Viaduct were stopped by the state.
