Work on a new natural gas pipeline that crosses the border of New York and
Pennsylvania has reached Eldred Township. This week, excavations for the
pipeline were started along Duffytown Road. The work is being done by
Sheehan Pipeline Construction Co of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The project will
stretch 20 miles from Sharon in Potter County to Quinlan in New York. The
line will go under the Allegheny River, under the road and also under the
Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks.
