Convicted kidnapper and rapist Thomas Slater will serve less time in the
pen. Slater's sentence was reduced as President Judge John Cleland revisited
the sentencing for two counts of spousal sexual abuse, admitting that he
erred.

Slater's minimum sentence was reduced by one month, and his maximum sentence
by two years and eight months.

Slater was arrested in Kansas after keeping his wife captive for almost a
month.
