Bradford Area School board signed a new transportation deal last night.
After laying off current transportation director John Matthews, Board member
August Freda suggested signing on with National transportation firm Laidlaw
Incorporated at a cost of 97 thousand dollars for the rest of the school
year.
Laidlaw is the largest firm of its kind in the nation.
Board members said the move was made to cut costs.
Superintendent Sandra Romanowski was unavailable for comment.
