Adelgids Still a Threat, Though Not Here Yet

There are no woolly adelgid's in the Allegheny National Forest, according to
a study be the US department of Agriculture Forest Service.

Local trees are under intense surveillance as the invasive species makes its
way across the east cost, including Centre and Clinton Counties.

The hemlock wooly adelgid can kill trees within four to seven years. The
monitoring for the bug will continues.
