Defense Bill Approved: Fate of Dana's Dog Unclear

The Senate Officially Pushed through the Defense Appropriations act before
the session closed at midnight last night.. While several versions were on
the table, it appears at this point that the most recent version was passed.
It includes wording that would allow Injured Soldier Jamie Himes Dana to
keep the bomb sniffing dog that served alongside her in Iraq.
Officials at US Congressman John Peterson's Office will comment on the
matter later this morning.

Dana is in Colorado with her family after recovering from severe injuries.
