Pa's Oldest Woman Dies

M. Gladys Swetland, believed to be the oldest resident of Pennsylvania, died
on Wednesday at the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital at the age of 113.
Swetland was born in Mills, Potter County on April 18, 1892 and was never
married. She continued driving past her 100th birthday and was placed in
the long-term home at the age of 110. Swetland played piano for fellow
residents as well as for Governor Ed Rendel at the age of 112.
