State Police are encouraging seat belt usage as a part of their Click-it or Ticket Campaign. State Police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller announced Monday that seat belt usage has increased in the state to 82 percent. Each State Police Troop is required to set up at least four checkpoints. Seatbelt violators will be cited twice for if they are not in compliance with the state’s seat belt law during the campaign period.
Miller says the goal Is not to issue citations, but to encourage drivers to buckle up.
