National Fuel has announced an 8.1% increase in the monthly bill of the
typical residential customer in Pennsylvania. The increase will take effect
Monday and will raise the bill for those using 105,000 cubic feet annually a
little over $9.50. According to Nancy Taylor, the Senior manager of
corporate communications in Erie, the original projected increase was 6.9%,
however, the nationwide increase in market price has caused a larger
increase for customers rates.
