Olean Man Questioned in Teen's Death

An Olean man has been questioned in the hit and run death Wednesday of a
Wellsville teen. According to John Wolf, State Police Senior Investigator,
the man went to the Amity state police barracks with his attorney last week
and told police he thought he hit a deer. Evidence from the Chevy Venture he
was driving has been sent to the crime lab in Albany for testing. 17-year
old Samuel Swift was found dead at 2 a.m. Wednesday morning on Route 19 by a
passerby and could not be revived.
