State Senator Joe Scarnati will sponsor a bill aimed at reducing tax burdens and providing wage supplements to working families. Scarnati is supporting the creation of a program, called the Earned Income Tax Credit, which will provide workers with a state refundable EITC at 20% of the Federal EITC. Scarnati believes this program will give 10 times as much money to workers than an increase in the minimum wage would.
