Preliminary test results from about 140 birds that died near the Quehanna
Boot Camp in Clearfield County earlier this month, show that the birds died
of trauma, and not from any environmental or health-related causes.

Pennsylvania Game Commission officials say the birds died after colliding
with hard objects such as buildings and towers.
