Bradford To Ship Trash Elsewhere

That new owner at the landfill isn't saving Bradford any money.

Bradford City Council approved an ordinance last night to use the Chautauqua
County Landfill in Elery NY, because of their lower tipping fees. City Clerk
John Peterson says it will cost 21.50 a ton to ship to NY State. The McKean
County Landfill, currently owned by Rustick LLC charges over 48 dollars a
ton. Whether or not the savings will be passed on to City residents has yet
to be seen.
