The McKean County Commissioners unveiled their 2006 budget during a special
meeting last night, and said it does not include a tax increase, but does
include creating two new county departments.
Next year's proposed 29 point one million dollar budget is actually less
than this year's, which was more than 31 million dollars.
The new departments that may be created are Economic Development, and Soil
and Water Conservation.
The commissioners also say they'll continue making improvements to the
county jail, and will be looking into enhancing the county human resources
department.
