Former Potter County man, and leader of the anti-Semitic hate group Aryan Nations told CNN last night he wants to align his group with al Qaeda. August Kreis, who moved to Sebring Florida after a showdown with Potter County residents, says Aryan Nations and al- Qaeda have he same enemies, Jews and the American Government.
Kreis, who is a follower of the Christian Identity movement says he had a message for Osama Bin Laden, that his people are ready. They may not be Islamic people, but they are willing to fight.

Kreis is such a loser. Why do the media give him any air time at all?
He's afraid people will find out where he lives, so he met CNN in a park in FL instead of his home.
Interestingly, he told others he is now living in South Carolina.
There's no Aryan Nation, only Aryan wannabes...

I'm in the process of setting up an interview with Kreis on WESB. Yes, there is an interesting question about why the media gives him any air time, and my response would be this:
His views are extreme, dangerous, and ugly.
But there are a signficant quotient of Americans that subscribe to those views, if not all, at least some of them.
and my thought is, rather than tuck his extremism back into a corner and ignore it, lets expose it and call it what it is.
Ultimately, these most recent statements in my mind are treasonous, and it sets him up to be investigated.
The Patriot Act will most definitely sprout problems for the group.. though it might give them just what they want too... a fight....
and that thought is scary, and should be exposed..
but then again, just a bit of food for thought.. just to get discussion going..
if the government steps in and does something based on the "hate speech" he delivers..
where is the line on what is free speech?
and when does my freedom of expression, and thought (and to draw another parrellel to Kreis, religion) come to the place where it should be silenced?
What if, because I, as a Christian, (or a muslim, or a jew, or anyother person of faith) am considered a threat because of the things I believe or think?
that's where I urge the government to deal with the Kreis problem, but tread with caution.
I don't want to see my thoughts and words and beliefs in jeopardy some day because they disagree with the establishment.
your thoughts?
