An apartment complex will not be part of a planned development at the former
Castle site in Allegany.
During a meeting last night, COR development told the Allegany Planning
board that theyve scrapped the plan because of concerns from the board and
the community.
Also during the meeting, board members told Wal-Mart representatives theyre
concerned about the stores expansion project, and the affect it will have
on the economy and other grocery stores in the area.
The board wants an impact statement, but a Wal-Mart attorney says thats not
